"Connection Failed" error on supermicro java console applet

If you experience "Connection Failed" error on Supermicro iKVM you need to perform cold restart. Next solution is avaiable for all kvm motherboard (Processor: Xeon 34xx, E3, E5)

For 64bit linux system  download IPMICFG tool:

# wget ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/utility/IPMICFG/ipmicfg_1.20.3_20141105.zip
# unzip ipmicfg_1.20.3_20141105.zip
# cd ipmicfg_1.20.3/linux/64bit/
# chmod 755 ipmicfg-linux.x86_64.static
# ./ipmicfg-linux.x86_64.static -r

For 32bit systems:

# wget ftp://ftp.supermicro.com/utility/IPMICFG/ipmicfg_1.20.3_20141105.zip
# unzip ipmicfg_1.20.3_20141105.zip
# cd ipmicfg_1.20.3/linux/linux/32bit/
# chmod 755 ipmicfg-linux.x86.static
# ./ipmicfg-linux.x86_64.static -r

Wait some minutes and you can access again.

also you can just use ipmitool coming with any linux/bsd dist.pkg_add -r ipmitool for BSDapt-get install ipmitool for Debian/Ubuntu GNU/Linuxetc...just enter:ipmitool mc reset coldand it should be ok.
